Article Ref: 20 More good news, no sooner have we reached the necessary threshold than BT have Just announced (within the last 2 days) that the Milford exchange will be 'Ready For Service' on Wednesday, 4th February 2004. The 'Ready For Service' date indicates when the exchange is due to be broadband enabled. If all goes well, the 1st users will be able to be connected to broadband on or around that date.
This is about 14 weeks away so not long to go now, coming just after Christmas perhaps Router/Switch/Radio Base Stations (802.11 G of course) will be high on people's present lists this year ! Perhaps now would be a good time to start posting some material concerning the mechanics of connecting and some of the options. Back to broadband listing |
