Good, that means that the BT Milford Exchange flyers have finally been delivered through your door and perhaps you are sufficiently interested in Broadband to look at this web site. Hopefully you would like to have access to a 1st class Internet service from your home/office and are no longer happy with modem access. If so please register your Broadband interest thereby increase the Milford Exchange registration headcount to more than the minimum 250 required.

Collectively in order to enable the Milford exchange for Broadband we need to gather a minimum of 250 expressions of interest in the form of a registration with an Internet Service Provider, don't worry its all quite simple.

So far over 185 people have registered which leaves only 65 more to go. I hope that this flyer and poster campaign, with some support, will be the final push to get past this threshold as soon as possible. Having achieved the threshold BT will then begin the process of upgrading the Milford exchange with Broadband equipment. The ugrade process once started may takes several weeks and this web site will keep everyone informed of progress.

Broadband brings with it a wide range of benefits and services including high speed access, no dial-up and 2 concurrent lines (one for data the second available for voice). The BT Broadband web site gives a fuller explanation.

Enough of the background, how do I register ?
First open your web browser go to the BT broadband web site at 'www.bt.com/broadband'. Now type your phone number '01785 66xxxx' into the 'Can I get It ?' box. You will be presented with the Broadband Availability Cchecker box which shoudl tell you that Broadband is not currently available and that 250 people are required and hopefully that your line may be able to receive broadband. Now click on the 'What to do next' link. A barometer is displayed of the Milford Exchange, click on the 'What to Do Next' link.

Click on the 'Find out which Suppliers you can register with' link, the next page allows you to select a particular ISP or to look at a full list. Having decided on a particular ISP (possibly the same one you currently use) you will be directed to their web site from which you can choose a particular package and register. The ISP will detect that the exchange does not yet have Broadband and will then pass this registration onto BT and the barometer will leap up by one (it takes about 24 hours to actually register with BT).
